The collective review “Religious actors, ideas and interests in the welfare state”, written together with Marc Breuer (Paderborn, Germany), was published last year (2018) in the Sociological Review 41 (4): 606-620. In the first part, it concentrates on recent books which refer to the relevance of religious ideas, values and interests in the welfare state in the form of country case studies and comparative studies. The second part is concerned with publications dealing with the role of religious organizations and movements as providers of social services.
